The Centre for Social Innovation of Trinity Business School is delighted to invite you to the next event of the virtual Trinity Business Ethics Speaker Series.

The guest speaker for the upcoming event on Jan 20, 5 pm GMT/noon EST (US) is Julie Battilana. Julie is the Joseph C. Wilson Professor of Business Administration in the Organizational Behavior unit at Harvard Business School and the Alan L. Gleitsman Professor of Social Innovation at Harvard Kennedy School, where she is also the founder and faculty chair of the Social Innovation and Change Initiative. She is one of the leading international scholars studying the politics of change in organizations and in society. Her ground-breaking work on hybrid organizing has been published in the most recognized academic outlets of management science receiving multiple awards and recognitions over the past years.

Julie will talk about her new book "Power, for ALL". Julie and her co-author Tiziana Casciaro offer a timely, democratized vision of power. While hierarchies tend to stay in place because power is often sticky, by agitating, innovating, and orchestrating change, they show how those with less power can challenge established structures to make them more balanced. They teach readers how to power-map their workplace to find who can create real change at work, plan for and cause sustaining power shifts, and understand the five motivations for seeking power-money and status, but also autonomy, achievement, affiliation, and morality. Ultimately, Power, for All aims at demystifying the essential mechanisms for acquiring and using power for all people.

The event will be hosted and moderated by Maximilian Schormair, Assistant Professor in Business Ethics at Trinity Business School.
