    --- Apologies for cross-posting ---

     Dear Colleagues,

Do you know any courses on personal development taught in the MBA program or any other management degree program?

I am looking for courses in the broad area of "personal development","managing yourself", "happiness", "how to live". In a nutshell, an academic alternative to the life coaching industry.

I am particularly interested in courses that:

    1. Target current or future managers.
    2. Use management and strategy concepts applied to your life.

I would like to collect the name of the course and, ideally, the syllabus.

I list some of the courses I know below:

    1. Designing your life – Stanford by Bill Burnett & Dave Evans (based on the homonymous book -
    2. Strategize Your Life with Simple Rules – IESEG by me J Marco Clemente ( )
    3. Designer in Society – Stanford by Bernie Roth (base of the book "The Achievement Habit" )
    4. The Art of Self-Coaching – Stanford by Ed Batista
    5. Interpersonal Dynamics (aka Touchy Feely) – Stanford by Ed Batista
    6. How to measure your life – Harvard by Clayton Christensen (not a full course, but he integrated it in the last session of his strategy course)
    7. The Science of Well-Being Yale/Coursera by Laurie Santos ( )
    8. Creativity and Personal Mastery – previously given at Columbia University by Srikumar S. Rao (

Please write to me ( if you know any!

    Thank you!
