  • 1.  POSTDOCTORAL POSITION AT INSEAD

    Posted 05-10-2022 02:38

    The Entrepreneurship Department at INSEAD is hiring two full-time Postdoctoral Fellows at INSEAD's Singapore campus. The postdoctoral fellows will be paid a salary and can join anytime between June and September 2022. These are two-year positions, assuming academic achievement and service at a level at or above expectations, with a formal review after the first year.

     Position 1:

    The postdoctoral fellow will join in the ongoing research of Profs. Henrich Greve and Vibha Gaba on the themes of Organizational Learning, Behavioral Decision Making, and Diffusion Processes. The ideal candidate for this postdoctoral fellowship is a recent Ph.D. graduate interested in entrepreneurship or strategic management topics who can provide research support in analyses involving programming and data analyses and possibly join as an author on some projects. The role also involves time dedicated to publishing the candidate's own ongoing research projects.

    Position 2:

    The postdoctoral fellow will work under the supervision of Prof. Ivana Naumovska and will join in her ongoing research in the areas of Diffusion and Learning Processes in Financial Markets, Investors' Decision Making, and Corporate Misconduct. The ideal candidate for this postdoctoral fellowship is a recent Ph.D. graduate interested in studying financial markets (e.g., stock markets, venture capital) applying strategic management and organizational theories. Strong technical skills in programming and empirical analysis are desirable. The fellowship will allow the recipient to continue and publish their ongoing research and collaborate with Prof. Naumovska (and some of her other collaborators) on new research projects.

    In addition, the candidates will have the opportunity to interact and collaborate with the Entrepreneurship Faculty at INSEAD and participate in all the department and school-wide research initiatives such as the brown bag series, research seminars, and conferences.

    Qualifications for both positions:

    • Applicants must have completed a Ph.D. in Management or related social science discipline (e.g., sociology, finance).
    • Prior work (including but not limited to dissertation) must involve working with large datasets and facility with programming.
    • Excellent academic record and work ethic required.
    • Excellent organizational and oral/written communication skills are required.
    • Enthusiasm for research is required. The ideal candidate will be thinking of this position as a platform to build skills toward taking on a research professorship in the future.
    • Strong programming skills in Stata and Python are required.

    Application:

     To be considered for the positions, please submit

    (1) curriculum vitae;

    (2) a brief profile of your research program, including a description of datasets you have worked on and the status of current projects;

    (3) up to three published or working research papers;

    (4) up to three letters of recommendation.

    Application and letters of recommendation should be submitted to jess.lim@insead.edu. The review will begin immediately. Applications will be considered until the position is filled.

    INSEAD is committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive academic community. We consider applicants for employment without regard to gender, race, sexual orientation, disability, or nationality.
