Dear OMT colleagues,
The Harvard Business School Institute for Business in Global Society (BiGS) is now accepting applications for its 2025–2026 Fellowship on Structuring Business Ownership.
This fellowship is an opportunity for academic researchers to explore emerging models of business ownership. The program is part of The Ownership Project (TOP), a BiGS research initiative I am helping to lead. Fellows' outputs will include an edited volume or special journal issue, as well as opportunities to develop additional academic and practitioner-oriented materials to address a common research question:
What models of contemporary enterprise ownership most effectively realize broad organizational objectives, address pressing societal challenges, and support human values in the 21st century?
The BiGS Fellowship is non-residential but includes three multi-day workshops held on the HBS campus over the course of the academic year to collaborate with other scholars, practitioners, and HBS faculty. Fellows will receive a $20,000 honorarium and travel reimbursement.
If this sounds like an opportunity that aligns with your work, I strongly encourage you to apply. Additionally, if you know of colleagues whose research interests might be a great fit, please share this email with them. Applications are due January 19, 2025.
The full call for applications and additional information, including application instructions, can be found here.
If you have any questions or would like to discuss further, please don't hesitate to reach out to Tony Guidotti at tguidotti@hbs.edu.
