    Dear colleagues,

We are happy to introduce the first EOS-SKEMA PhD course on Organizational Experiments. The course is aimed at PhD students who are interested in using experiments in their study of organizations. The course will take place on an approximately weekly basis starting from May 26.

While experiments have long been the standard to test causal relationships in natural sciences, they are now becoming increasingly popular in social sciences. This course will focus on applying experiments to the study of organizations. Students will be exposed to both the fundamentals of the experimental methodology and the details of studying organizations in the lab. They will also learn about the practicalities of designing and running a (multiplayer) experiment.

A unique feature of this course is that most sessions will be taught by experts on the session topic, including Phanish Puranam (INSEAD), Elizaveta Konovalova (Wawick Business School), Sebastien Pouget (Toulouse School of Economics), Ronald Klingebiel (Frankfurt School of Finance and Management), Franziska Lauenstein (Kühne Logistics University), Jerry Guo (Frankfurt School of Finance and Management), Christian Tröster (Kühne Logistics University), and Marius van Dijke (Rotterdam School of Management).

The course will consist of 8 sessions of 3 hours each. Successful course participants will be awarded 3 ECTS points. The course will be held entirely online, it will be free, and all interested scholars are welcome to apply, though preference will be given to PhD students. To apply, please submit a brief motivation statement before March 30 here: https://www.experimentalorganization.science/skema

Course dates are on May 26, June 5, June 16, June 30, July 7, July 14, July 17, and July 21. More information can be found on: https://www.experimentalorganization.science/eos25
