I am pleased to announce the publication of my latest chapter:
Institutions and Co-Creation of Value in the Service Ecosystem of Clinical Trials for the Development of New Medicines
Walter Bataglia, Faïz Gallouj, Ana Carolina Simões Braga, José Carlos Hoelz
In this new book chapter, we explore the relationship between regulation for clinical trials, national cultural practices, and the co-creation of experience and value within clinical trial ecosystems in Brazil. We provide a detailed analysis of Brazilian regulations for the development of new medicines, as well as cultural practices, and conducted in-depth interviews with clinical trial coordinators from CROs in Brazil, gathering insights based on their experiences. Our findings indicate that national cultural practices and regulations significantly influence the co-creation of experience and value in the clinical trial services provided by CROs.
