    Dear Colleagues,

We are excited to announce the launch of a new study group focused on the intersection of philosophy and organizational theory, led by Jaco Lok and myself.

We are planning to hold three or four meetings a year in which we will explore foundational philosophical texts and their implications for organizational theory.

Our first book will be Martin Buber's seminal work, I and Thou. This book, though concise at just about 100 pages, offers deep insights into human relationships and existential philosophy. We encourage everyone to read as much as possible to fully engage in our discussions.

Our goal is to explore how Buber's philosophy can inform and enrich our understanding of organization theory. Please invite your colleagues and PhD students.

    Meeting Details:

    · Date: Tuesday, 22 October at 9am London time (7pm Sydney time)

    · Platform: Zoom https://macquarie.zoom.us/j/6920391626

    · Discussion Focus: I and Thou by Martin Buber

    · Objective: To elicit thinking about the intersections between philosophy and organization theory.

We look forward to delving into these ideas with you!

    Max Ganzin and Jaco Lok
