Organization Studies Group
MIT Sloan School of Management
The Organization Studies Group at the MIT Sloan School of Management invites applications for a tenure-track faculty appointment at the Assistant or Associate (without tenure) Professor level, although a senior appointment is possible under exceptional circumstances.
Candidates must have a strong research program in any area of organization studies, micro and/or macro. All approaches, all perspectives, and all methods are welcome. Teaching will be primarily in the basic organizational processes courses at the MBA level. We have a particular interest in finding a colleague with interest in the teaching and research programs of the Leadership Center, but this is not a requirement.
The Organization Studies Group includes faculty with interests in many different organizational phenomena, using research approaches that span ethnography, multivariate quantitative analysis, and lab experimentation. Our group is part of the Behavioral and Policy Sciences Area, one of three major areas at Sloan. We encourage multidisciplinary work with colleagues in other parts of the School, and several members of the group are also members of other groups in the School (Information Technology, System Dynamics, Communication, Strategy).
Applications are due December 1, 2010. Applicants should send a letter outlining their interests and experience, a current CV, a paper of some kind, and three letters of reference to:
