FACULTY POSITION IN INTERNATIONAL MANAGEMENT AT CATÓLICA-LISBON, PORTUGAL
Católica Lisbon School of Business and Economics (CLSBE) invites applications for a full-time tenure track Assistant Professor position in International Management starting September 2014. Applicants with research and teaching interests in areas relating to international business are encouraged to apply. Since international management is a broad area that can be studied from different disciplinary perspectives, we welcome candidates who are trained in and bring perspectives from strategy, organizational behaviour, economics, entrepreneurship, and other management disciplines.

Faculty and Research Environment
Católica-Lisbon provides a vibrant research environment. The core research faculty consists of 30 tenure-track members, with doctorates from top North American (including MIT, NYU, UCLA, Columbia, Yale, N. Carolina, UBC) and top European (including Bocconi, Ecole Polytechnique, Tilburg) programs. New assistant professors include nationals of France, Italy, Brazil, Canada, Slovenia, Finland, and Bolivia. Faculty in management areas have recently published articles in Organization Science, Academy or Management Review, OBHDP, Annals of the Academy of Management, Journal of Management, Journal of Management Studies, Management Science, Journal of Personality, Leadership Quarterly, Research Policy, Journal of Business Ethics, Strategic Management Journal, and Organizational Research Methods,
Tenure-track faculty are expected to maintain a research program targeted at top-tier journals in their field. Católica-Lisbon provides them with ample support to do so. Salary is competitive, and funding is provided for travel to international conferences. In addition, faculty are encouraged to apply for research project funding from the Portuguese Science Foundation (FCT), as this can generously fund data collection, research assistants, and other resources. Tenure-track positions involve teaching the equivalent of 3 courses per year, in English, at the undergraduate, MSc and MBA levels, and potentially in executive education programs.
Position Requirements
Candidates must demonstrate the potential to publish in top-tier management journals. For Associate and Full positions, candidates are expected to show a strong research track record in top journals, excellence in teaching, and the ability to add to the research reputation and productivity of the group.
