OMT Paper Development Workshop
Invitation to Participate
The OMT Division of the Academy of Management will hold a 1-day Paper Development Workshop on September 20, 2011 at Imperial College in London, UK. The workshop is open to any doctoral student or postdoctoral researcher with an interest in submitting to the OMT Division. The Paper Development workshop will provide a forum for authors to develop manuscripts for submission to the OMT Division of the Academy of Management and then to take them forward for submission to appropriate journals. The workshop will include a discussion of the remit and functioning of the OMT Division, an explanation of the AoM conference submission process, and a general discussion of the preparation of papers for submission. It will also include a discussion of how to respond to reviews and what is necessary to develop a conference paper for publication in an Academy journal.
In addition, each author will receive feedback on their papers from a mentor and 5 participants. The mentors will include past and current members of the OMT Division Executive Committee including Matt Kraatz, Klaus Weber and Nelson Phillips. Each author will also be expected to provide feedback to other authors.
There is no fee for attending the workshop although participants will be responsible for their own travel and accommodation costs. The workshop will begin with an optional informal dinner on September 19th and then continue with a full day on September 20th.
