    Dear Colleagues,

Tom Lawrence and I are attempting to collect all of the "types of work" that are currently being empirically investigated or theoretically discussed in the management literature (or in any of the closely allied literatures such as sociology or psychology). We have currently identified the following list of types of work in the management literature:

    - Knowledge work
    - Emotional work
    - Identity work
    - Narrative Identity Work
    - Institutional work
    - Boundary Work
    - Knowledge Work
    - Discursive work

If you are currently working on some form of work that we haven't identified then we would very much appreciate it if you could send us an email and let us know. If you have a working paper or published paper that you can send us that would be particularly helpful.

Please email me directly with your answers (n.phillips@imperial.ac.uk) and feel free to contact me if you have any questions or thoughts on this topic.

    Thanks,

    Nelson
