ASSISTANT PROFESSOR (TENURE-TRACK), STRATEGIC MANAGEMENT
Located in Baton Rouge, LSU is the flagship university in the Louisiana State University System. The Rucks Department of Management and the E. J. Ourso College of Business provide collegial and financial support for academic research and teaching. The E. J. Ourso College of Business offers undergraduate, MBA, and Ph.D. programs of study, emphasizes high-quality research and teaching, and maintains strong ties with the local business community. Baton Rouge provides numerous cultural and recreational amenities that enhance the quality of life for area residents. Moreover, Baton Rouge is located approximately 70 miles north of New Orleans, with easy access to the Crescent City's unique flair.
Job Responsibilities: Teach undergraduate- and graduate-level courses (primarily in strategic management). Normal teaching load is two courses per semester, i.e., four courses per academic year. Teaching responsibilities may also include elective courses in international strategic management, global corporate social responsibility, managing change, and learning from management mistakes/failures.
Engage in academic research and publishing.
Undertake assignments normally associated with teaching, scholarship, and University service.
Minimum Qualifications: PhD/D.B.A. in Management or related area and experience in strategic management. ABD candidates will be considered; must have completed requirements for Ph.D./D.B.A. prior to August, 2018.
Preferred Qualifications: Demonstrated record of excellence in research and teaching or demonstrated potential for excellence.
