ASSISTANT PROFESSOR
(Strategic Management/Entrepreneurship)
Rucks Department of Management
Located in Baton Rouge, LSU is the flagship university in the Louisiana
State University System. The Rucks Department of Management and the Ourso
College of Business provide collegial and financial support for academic
research and teaching. The College of Business offers undergraduate, MBA,
and Ph.D. programs of study, emphasizes high-quality research and teaching,
and maintains strong ties with the local business community. Baton Rouge
provides numerous cultural and recreational amenities that enhance the
quality of life for area residents. Moreover, Baton Rouge is located
approximately 70 miles north of New Orleans, with easy access to the
Crescent City's unique flare.
Responsibilities: Provides excellence in teaching Management courses in the
area of strategic management/entrepreneurship which may include both
undergraduate and graduate courses as required by the department; conducts
quality research and publishes the results thereof in recognized academic
journals; performs other service duties typically associated with the
professorate; normal teaching load is two courses per semester (four courses
per academic year).
Required Qualifications: Ph.D. or D.B.A. or equivalent degree in Management
or a related area; demonstrated record of excellence in teaching and
research or potential for excellence. Position is expected to begin August
2012. An offer of employment is contingent on satisfactory pre-employment
background check.
