The University of Oxford's Saïd Business School seeks an outstanding candidate for the position of Associate Professor in Strategy and Innovation. For a candidate with an established track record of outstanding achievement, the title of Professor may be awarded at the time of appointment. This is a permanent full-time faculty position based at the Said Business School, Park End Street, Oxford. The post will be held in association with a Tutorial Fellowship at Harris Manchester College, based on Mansfield Road in Oxford. Salary for the position is internationally competitive and commensurate with qualifications, from £44,620 per annum.

This is a tenure-track position. The University of Oxford uses the title of Associate Professor for most of its senior academic appointments (a pre-tenure Associate Professor at Oxford is equivalent to an Assistant Professor at other universities). In exceptional cases, the title of Professor may be awarded on appointment.

The successful candidate will have shown evidence of the capacity for outstanding scholarship and teaching in strategy and innovation. The School welcomes applicants who specialise in any area of strategy and innovation including (but not limited to) entrepreneurship, technological innovation, non-market strategies, and behavioural decision-making. The successful candidate will be expected to engage in original research, conduct teaching across a range of programmes, and contribute to the administration of the School and the governance of the College.

Applicants must have, or obtain by September 2015, a doctorate in a relevant discipline. They should have either an established track record of internationally excellent publications in top-ranked peer-reviewed academic journals (for senior candidates), or clear potential to produce such publications (for junior candidates). Candidates should also have the ability and willingness to teach, supervise, and assess high-achieving and challenging students from diverse cultural backgrounds at undergraduate, graduate and executive levels. We seek applicants who can work effectively as part of a team, and who have the interpersonal and communication skills necessary for undertaking teaching and the pastoral care of students.
