2nd Global e-Conference on Fit

Colleagues might be interested in the 2nd Global Online Conference on Fit. It starts today and it is completely free. You can find the conference at the following web address: www.open.ac.uk/fitconference/
The conference looks at all things to do with fit. This includes person-organisation fit, person-job fit, person-vocation fit and misfit. In addition to discussing empirical and conceptual work, the conference will also be looking at methodological issues and considering where the field of fit is going.
There are scholarly papers, keynote papers, and a workshop.
The eminent keynote speakers are:
- Helena Cooper-Thomas, University of Auckland
- Tim Judge, University of Florida
- Jeff Edwards, University of North Carolina
In addition to what you might expect from an online conference, this conference will have a hearty social element with a reception, disco and firework finale. These are all hosted on Fit Island; our own part of Second Life. Please stop by anytime. You'll need a Second Life account, which is completely free and you can get from www.secondlife.com; once you've got that, just teleport over to Fit Island and see how social elements can be added to an online conference.
