    The Organization Behavior Department at the Boston University School of Management is recruiting faculty, subject to anticipated funding at the assistant level who are well grounded in the discipline of organization behavior at either the micro, meso or macro levels but whose primary focus of research and teaching fall within the three strategic areas of the School of Management, i.e. health and life sciences, digital technology and clean energy/environment and sustainability.

    The position will be located in the Organization Behavior Department with links to various Institutes and Centers at the School of Management, for example, Human Resources Policy Institute, Executive Development Roundtable, The Institute for Global Work (IGW), Institute for Technology Entrepreneurship and Commercialization (ITEC) and/or Center for Nonprofit Management and Leadership. Each center is sponsored by corporations and government organizations and focuses research and application activities in their respective area. Those who join the faculty may be partially funded by and actively engaged in the activities of the centers, as well designing classes and instructional material in their respective areas. Our Organizational Behavior faculty currently includes Lloyd Baird, Michelle Barton, Colin Fisher, Fred Foulkes, Karen Golden-Biddle, Douglas (Tim) Hall, Emily Heaphy, William Kahn, Kathy Kram, John (Jack) McCarthy, and Aimin Yan.

    Applicants should be interested in research and application that help solve significant problems in their respective areas and expected to teach classes not only in the core organization behavior classes but as importantly classes in their defined area of interest that fits the three strategic areas of the School of Management.     The Organizational Behavior Department at Boston University <http://management.bu.edu/academics/departments/ob/> is recruiting a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Organizational Behavior, pending budget approval.  Successful applicants will have a strong research background in organizational behavior and the ability to teach effectively in undergraduate, MBA, and/or PhD programs.  Applicants with a research and/or teaching interest in (a) health and life sciences, (b) digital technology or (c) clean energy/environment and sustainability should highlight it in their applications.

    The Organizational Behavior Department at Boston University addresses fundamental questions about the practice of management.  We conduct research that has real-world impact, as well as intellectual sophistication.
