    Dear Colleagues,

    (Apologies for cross-posting)

The purpose of this email is to invite you to a Showcase Symposium titled The Normative Pillar of the Professions, featuring an exciting group of scholars: Royston Greenwood, Matthew Kraatz, W. Richard Scott, Daniel Muzio, and Brian Rubineau.

The symposium explores the changing normative expectations of the professions in organization studies and society more broadly. During the session, we aim to advance today’s theoretical understandings of how professionals are socialized and how learned professional knowledge is enacted through internal and external organizational relations. Furthermore, the presenters suggest novel perspectives to better explore the professions within varying contexts of organizational and societal change.
