Strategy Positions at the McDonough School of Business, Georgetown University
The Strategy, Economics, Ethics, and Public Policy Area in the McDonough School of Business at Georgetown University anticipates hiring several tenure-track faculty members in Strategy in academic calendar year 2011-12. We are interested in research-oriented faculty at all levels–Assistant, Associate and Full. The Area is extremely collegial and exceedingly multi-disciplinary, with several members actively crossing boundaries in research and teaching. Members with a primary research and teaching interest in Strategy and Organizational Theory are Paul Almeida, Jeffrey Macher, Elaine Romanelli, and David Tan. Members with a primary research and teaching interesting in Economics are Brad Jensen, Catherine Langlois, John Mayo, Stanley Nollen, and Jay Shambaugh. Other members include Jason Brennan, John Hasnas and Ed Soule (Ethics) and Dennis Quinn and Stephen Weymouth (Political Science).

Applicants should include the following: (1) curriculum vita; (2) dissertation proposal (if PhD candidate or recent graduate); (3) up to two articles/working papers; (4) teaching evaluations; and (5) up to three letters of recommendation. Ideal applicants are those that conduct high-quality research in Economics, Strategy or Organization Theory and demonstrate (or have the potential for) effective teaching acumen.
