    Tenure-Track

     

     

    Position

    California State University, Fullerton, seeks tenure-track faculty in Strategic Management for Fall 2014. Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate/graduate classes in strategy (and a possible secondary area); performance in research, scholarly and creative activities which result in publication of high-quality refereed journal articles; departmental and University service, and student advisement.

     

    Qualifications

    ·       Candidates must have completed all requirements for a doctorate in Strategic Management (Strategy) from an AACSB accredited institution by August 10, 2014. An MBA is preferred.

    ·       Experience as an effective teacher is highly preferred.

    ·       Interest/experience in a secondary area like technology/innovation, ethics, healthcare management, or international management is desirable.

    ·       Evidence/potential for publications in high quality journals is expected.

    ·       Business experience is desirable.

    ·       Ability to work effectively with a wide and culturally diverse range of students and faculty is required.

    Rank is generally at the Assistant or Associate Professor levels and salary is commensurate with rank, qualifications, and experience.     The College of Business & Economics is accredited by The Association to Advance Collegiate

    The Department

    The management department has 20 tenured and tenure-track faculty supplemented by several part-time and full-time adjunct faculty.  Tenure-track faculty members publish their research in journals such as Administrative Science Quarterly, Journal of Management, Organization Science, Personnel Psychology, Human Resource Management, Strategic Management Journal, Decisions Sciences, among others.  The department houses two active centers of excellence – The Center for Leadership and the Family Business Center – which provide opportunities for exposure to business organizations and potential collaborations.
