Do you have a draft paper in the broad field of Social Issues in Management
(SIM) that would benefit from an in-depth developmental review by leading
    scholars in the field?

This professional development workshop at the Academy of Management
conference brings together SIM researchers with the aim of improving
manuscripts prior to submission to high quality management journals. We are
looking for high potential papers that you want to refine with the help of
our team of top scholars who have been successful at publishing ethics,
corporate responsibility, stakeholder or related work in high quality
management journals, including AMJ, AMR, SMJ, etc. They are all current and
former editors, associate editors, editorial advisory board members, or
    experienced reviewers for top journals.

We will pair you with these experienced scholars to explore how your
manuscript-in-progress might be refined to achieve publication in your
target journal(s). The best part is you get to discuss your work with them
face-to-face, with time to explain and clarify, before you commit to the
    rigors of blind review.

Acceptance to the workshop is competitive. Applicants should submit a paper
to the organizers by June 2, 2014. We will then select the best submissions
and will send acceptances by July 2, 2014. Once an applicant's paper is
accepted, it will be assigned to one or two mentors who will have comments
ready for feedback and discussion in the session.

We are looking for works-in-progress so applicants should limit their
submissions to 20-40 pages including references, tables, figures and so
forth. Pre-registration is required for this workshop and an approval code
will be sent upon manuscript acceptance. You may send a paper that is being
presented at the AOM or other conference but not a manuscript that is
currently under review at a journal. Manuscripts should NOT be anonymized.

Please send your manuscript by 2 June 2014 to CSR@schulich.yorku.ca

The workshop is provisionally scheduled for Saturday, August 2nd, 2014,
from 12.00pm to 2.00pm in the Loews Philadelphia Hotel.

If you have any questions, please contact the organizers:

    Andrew Crane, York University: acrane@schulich.yorku.ca
Michael Brown, Penn State University: meb239@psu.edu

We look forward to receiving your manuscripts and seeing you in
    Philadelphia!
