The Department of Management at Michigan State University is seeking to add a new tenure-stream faculty member beginning in August 2016 in the area of Strategic Management. The ideal candidates should be terminally qualified in a relevant area of scholarship, and have primary research and teaching expertise in strategic management. Applicants should be able to demonstrate that they are engaged in activities that are likely to lead toward national recognition in research through a pending and/or current record of publication in top tier management journals. Research responsibilities will include working with PhD students to develop research capabilities, and maintaining an ongoing research program contributing to continued national scholarly prominence. Teaching responsibilities will consist of undergraduate and graduate courses in the area of strategic management. Applicants should be capable of teaching and working with students from diverse backgrounds, including international students. Applicants should be able to demonstrate ability as a classroom instructor through summarized peer and/or student evaluations and/or explicit commentary in letters of recommendation. Salary is competitive.
To be given consideration, applicants must provide three letters of recommendation, two research papers, a recent sample of teaching evaluations, and curriculum vitae.
