Job Description
The McDonough School of Business (MSB) at Georgetown University anticipates hiring at least one tenure-track or tenured faculty member in the Strategy, Economics, Ethics and Public Policy Area for academic calendar year 2019-20. The Area is interested in research-oriented faculty at all levels – Assistant, Associate and Full Professor – and is especially interested in candidates with research interests in strategic management and/or organizational theory.
The Strategy, Economics, Ethics and Public Policy area includes individuals whose primary research and teaching interests lie in Economics, International Business, International Political Economy, Organizational Theory, and Strategy. The area is collegial and multi-disciplinary, with several members crossing intellectual boundaries in research and teaching. The area's research faculty includes Jasmina Chauvin, Brad Jensen, Lizhi Liu, Jeffrey Macher, John Mayo, Nathan Miller, Ferdinando Monte, Stanley Nollen, Dennis Quinn, Chris Rider, Katalin Springel, and Stephen Weymouth.

Junior faculty applicants should submit: (1) a curriculum vita; (2) a dissertation proposal (if PhD candidate or recent graduate); (3) up to two articles/working papers; (4) teaching evaluations; and (5) up to three letters of recommendation. Senior faculty applicants should submit a curriculum vita. (All inquiries will be held in confidence until a time mutually agreed upon.) Ideal applicants are those that conduct (or have the potential for) high-quality research and demonstrate (or have the potential for) effective teaching acumen.
