    1 - 2 Assistant Professors in Organization and Management

    The position is located in the Department of Management Studies, in Organization and Management. The Department hosts five disciplinary areas: Organization and Management, International Business, Entrepreneurship, Philosophy of Management and Organizational Communication. In terms of personnel, Organization and Management is the largest, including seven full professors and four assistant professors. The discipline runs three Master's programs: Management and International Business, Strategy, and Creative Sustainability. The ambitious research orientation is shown in publications in the leading journals such as AMJ, AMR, ASQ, Human Relations, Journal of Management Studies, Organization Science, Organization Studies, Organization, and Strategic Management Journal. Moreover, the department has a lively, international research community with numerous doctoral students and post-doctoral researchers from several countries.

    Requirements

    Throughout their careers, those in the academic tenure track system are expected to carry out and supervise scientific research, to provide high quality academic education, to follow the advances of their field, to participate in service to the Aalto University community, and to take part in societal discussions and international collaboration in their field.

    The applicants should hold a doctorate in a discipline relevant for this position. The doctorate can be from diverse fields provided that the candidate's research focus is organization and management. The applicants will be reviewed on the basis of their research, teaching and activity in the scientific community. In the absence of formal proof of quality in research and teaching (e.g. published papers, teaching ratings), applicants are encouraged to submit proof of significant potential for high-quality teaching and research.

    Salary

    Salary will be defined according to Aalto University´s payroll system.
