    Dear friends and colleagues-

Please join us in Anaheim to learn about "The Intersection of Culture and Networks in Organizational Theory." Details concerning the time, location, and content of the presentations can be found here, and are summarized below. We hope to see you there!

Independently, the study of culture and networks has evolved at an incredible rate, with each becoming a major topic of inquiry in the social sciences. Despite the progress in these two areas of research, however, it is only recently that scholars have tried to integrate their insights to enhance our understanding of structure and meaning in organizations. This symposium is designed to take advantage of this development by: (1) showcasing a diverse group of 5 scholars and their work, which represents the "the state of the art" as it pertains to empirical and conceptual research at the intersection of culture and networks; and (2) curating a discussion about these topics from a variety of perspectives, in the hope that we gain new insights and begin to build a community of scholars interested in tackling these issues moving forward.

When: Tuesday, August 9, 8:00 AM to 9:30 AM
Where: Grand Ballroom Salon E @ the Anaheim Marriott
