AN INVITATION FOR APPLICATIONS FOR EDITOR
    of
    THE JOURNAL OF MANAGEMENT EDUCATION

The Organizational Behavior Teaching Society invites applications for the
position of Editor of the Journal of Management Education. The term of
office is three years starting 1 January 2007, plus a four-month
preparatory overlap with the current Editor prior to the beginning of the
    term.

The Organizational Behavior Teaching Society seeks a respected scholar and
visionary leader to enhance the quality of JME and to develop strategies
for strengthening the Journalfs impact on the field of management
education. The editor will assist in fostering the Societyfs strategic
directions for quality teaching and learning in the organizational
    sciences.

The Journal and Society are at a key inflection point. The JME editor
position offers an opportunity to provide direction to the premier journal
in management education as well as to help shape the future of teaching
and learning in the organization and management disciplines.

The primary criteria for selection include:

œ Visibility in the academy of scholars and teachers in the fields
of organizational behavior, learning, and management education.

œ A record of scholarly publication pertinent to management and
    management education.

œ A vision for the Journal that includes new ways to communicate
    with and influence management education.

œ Organizational skills necessary to run a high quality publication,
including the ability to meet deadlines and the capacity to work
constructively with authors, reviewers, and Board members. (Associated
editors and support staff can also assist with administrative
    responsibilities.)

œ A commitment of institutional support from the applicantfs
    university.

Membership in the Organizational Behavior Teaching Society is not a
    requirement for appointment.

Applications should consist of a letter or e-mail describing (1) the
applicantfs qualifications and experience relevant to the selection
criteria, and (2) a statement addressing the strategic vision for JME and
the future of management education and OBTS. These materials should be
sent by 1 May 2006 to the chair of the search committee, Kim Cameron, Ross
