A former (IT) student suspects some corporate focus on organization culture
(a consulting engagement, reading, courses, thinking...) may be useful. But
not all the decision makers are convinced. To help make his case, he would
like to know,
What studies examine links between organizational culture
and business performance? And what are the findings?
His firm, by the way, is going through a merger, but he says that is not the
primary issue. I've adapted a class lecture for his purposes into a slide
deck on "Why study organizational culture?", but would welcome any
suggestions for studies to include on the list. Especially more recent
studies.
Email me directly at
sf@alum.mit.edu about any individual articles or list
of articles. In your note, let me know if you would like me to send you my
draft slide deck.
Thanks, Steve
I plan to put together a brief annotated bibliography of the relevant work,
and will post a summary to my website. I'll send a note to the list when I
do that in a week or two.
