    Position Announcement: Strategy

    The McDonough School of Business at Georgetown University is pleased to
    announce a tenure track position in the area of strategic management,
    beginning in Fall, 2007. Scholars at any level are welcome to apply.

    We are looking for an individual who has the potential to establish
    him/herself as a prominent researcher and superb teacher capable of
    contributing to our Executive MBA, full-time MBA, evening MBA, and
    undergraduate programs. We are interested in scholars whose research
    interests are complementary with those of the existing Strategy group.
    Our current research interests include the management of technology and
    knowledge-based approaches to the firm; industry development, structure
    and evolution; international business strategy; entrepreneurship; firm
    organization and performance; and non-market strategy.

    Our teaching needs include courses in strategic management, global
    strategy, corporate strategy, technology strategy, capability-based
    strategy, international business, microeconomics, macroeconomics, and
    entrepreneurship.

    We offer tremendous opportunities in a dynamic and collegial group. We
    seek an individual with energy, drive and initiative who is interested
    in and capable of collaborative and productive relationships with
    colleagues at the School. Members of our group with a primary research
    and teaching interest in strategy are Paul Almeida, Rob Grant, Jeffrey
    Macher, Muir Macpherson and Elaine Romanelli. Other group members
    include George Brenkert, Catherine Langlois, John Mayo, Stanley Nollen,
    Dennis Quinn and Ed Soule.

    Our location in Washington, DC provides an exciting environment rich in
    opportunities for the study of business, with large numbers of corporate
    offices, industry associations, embassies, research institutes, the
    federal government, and organizations such as the World Bank and IMF.
