<st1:placename w:st="on">Northeastern</st1:placename> <st1:placename w:st="on">Illinois</st1:placename> <st1:placetype w:st="on">University</st1:placetype> is a state-supported institution located in a residential neighborhood in the northwest section of <st1:city w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Chicago</st1:place></st1:city>. The University serves a culturally diverse student population of approximately 12,000. Applications are invited from candidates with Ph.D./D.B.A. degrees in the appropriate teaching field from AACSB -accredited schools. All positions will start in August 2007, pending funding. Currently, we offer the following positions:
DEPARTMENT OF MANAGEMENT AND MARKETING
Management
Three tenure-track positions in management at the Assistant/Associate Professor rank to teach undergraduate and graduate courses. Candidates should have teaching expertise in at least two of the following areas: general management, strategic management, entrepreneurship, international management, and organizational theory. Demonstrated potential for excellent teaching and research is required. ABDs will be considered for a non-tenure-track appointment. Preference may be given to candidates with at least three years of successful teaching experience and a track record of refereed publications. Relevant business experience will also be helpful. Review of applications begins October 16, 2006 and continues until the positions are filled.
Marketing
One tenure-track position at the Assistant/Associate Professor rank to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in marketing including: consumer behavior, advertising, and electronic commerce. Demonstrated potential for excellent teaching and research is required. ABDs will be considered for a non-tenure-track appointment. Preference may be given to candidates with at least three years of successful teaching experience and a track record of refereed publications. Relevant business experience will also be helpful. Review of applications begins October 16, 2006, and continues until the position is filled.
