    2007 OMT Division Professional Development Workshops: Call for Proposals

    The Organization and Management Theory division is a community built from a common desire to develop and promote understanding of organizations and organizing. We stand at the intersection of micro and macro, providing a context for mutually beneficial intellectual engagement across disciplinary and other boundaries.
    In Philadelphia, we would like to see PDW sessions creatively and innovatively build on ways of further achieving the Division's Mission of attracting, developing and serving academics and practitioners who wish to advance understanding of organizations and organizing. Additionally, we would like to see submissions that address the conference theme of "Doing Well by Doing Good" by exploring how organizational structure, knowledge, and action can contribute to the common good of society.  PDW sessions have a very flexible structure, but should have greater participant interaction than symposia in the regular program.
    We request our members to please submit proposals to omt@bi.no on or before November 10, 2006. We encourage proposals that address the interests of a broad segment of Academy of Management members, and ask proposal submitters to note whether their proposed PDW will be of interest to the members of other divisions than OMT.

    Henrich R. Greve (PDW Coordinator, OMT Division 2006-2007).

    In your proposal, please specify:
    1) the title of your session,
    2) contact information for submitter and names and affiliations of all facilitators;
    3) a brief (2 page) outline of the proposed session, including a statement of planned activities, rationale for workshop, and the target audience;
    4) ideal room setup, and time frame.  Innovative proposals and those that address the 2007 AOM conference theme are particularly encouraged.
    5) other divisions to which the session would be of interest.
