Major/Essential Functions
The Rawls College of Business at <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:placename w:st="on">Texas</st1:placename> <st1:placename w:st="on"> Tech</st1:placename> <st1:placetype w:st="on">University</st1:placetype></st1:place> seeks associate and full professor candidates for the Trinity Professor in Management to serve as the Area Coordinator (a role equivalent to Department Chair) beginning Fall 2014. Qualified applicants must have a Ph.D. in Management or a closely related discipline, with a record that merits appointment at the full professor level, and previous experience or other evidence of administrative ability to direct the activities of an academic Area.
The successful applicant will be an academically qualified scholar of international stature, and is expected to: provide leadership and strategic direction to achieve Area goals and objectives; teach undergraduate and graduate courses; provide service to the department, college, university and community; establish a research program with the capacity to generate external funding and; be active in professional societies. Salary is competitive. Support for the Area Coordinator role is provided in the form of course releases, a salary stipend, summer funding, and administrative support.
