    <st1:country-region w:st="on">United Kingdom</st1:country-region>, April 2010 – Between 1970 and 2000, <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:placename w:st="on">Stanford</st1:placename> <st1:placetype w:st="on">University</st1:placetype></st1:place> was the birthplace of radical breakthroughs in the field of Organization Theory. The scope of its intellectual contribution to this field of study has prompted researchers to ask what caused such proliferation of new ideas at this place and time.

     

    In new book 'Stanford's Organization Theory Renaissance, 1970-2000', over 30 scholars who taught and trained at Stanford in that period turn the sociological lens back, seeking to explain why the University generated so many good ideas and path-breaking studies.
