OMT Junior Faculty Paper Development Workshop-
August 7, 2010 Saturday 8:00-10:00 AM Convention Center
The growing demands for publication in top journals place increasing stress on junior faculty to develop their skills. Critical criteria used by top journals to evaluate submissions are often tacit, frustrating the efforts of even the most industrious of junior scholars. OMT is taking positive steps to bridge the resulting knowledge gap by providing opportunities for interaction between those who have internalized the criteria and those who wish to learn them. This workshop is an opportunity for transfer of tacit knowledge between senior scholars who have been successful in overcoming cultural barriers and aspiring junior faculty who wish to emulate them.
We invite junior faculty to submit a research paper for which they would like help from an OMT senior scholar to advance the paper toward publication.
The participating senior scholars have successfully published in top North American and European journals. They include (barring AoM programming time conflicts)::
