Position Description
The Institute of Labor and Industrial Relations has a vacant faculty position in Industrial Relations/Employment Relations. We are interested in candidates who have research and teaching interests in meso-level and macro-level employment relations phenomena, e.g., employment systems, HR strategy, labor markets, dispute resolution, comparative business systems, etc. This is a full-time tenure-track position that combines research with teaching in the Institute’s master and PhD programs in human resources and industrial relations. The Institute concentrates on research and teaching in the HR-IR fields, mostly at the graduate level. For more information, please see our website at

Qualifications
Applicants must have a Ph.D. in an appropriate social science discipline or professional area of study; however, ABDs who demonstrate a strong potential for conducting exemplary research and teaching and anticipate Ph.D. completion no later than August 2009 will be considered.
Appointment and Starting Date
Appointment will be as a tenure-track assistant or associate professor. Salary and appointment will be competitive and commensurate with the successful candidate’s professional qualifications. Proposed start date is August 2009.
