    The Department of Organization and Strategy at <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:placename w:st="on">Tilburg</st1:placename> <st1:placetype w:st="on">University</st1:placetype></st1:place> invites applications for multiple tenure track positions starting in 2009. The rank for at least one of the positions is open, but we expect to fill several of the positions at the rank of Assistant Professor. We are able to hire faculty to start in any month during 2009.

     

    The Department of Organization and Strategy currently consists of 19 tenured or tenure track faculty members and 8 lecturers. They work in the following research areas: strategic management, international management, operations management, and management and organization theory. They are drawn from leading universities in the <st1:country-region w:st="on">United States</st1:country-region>, Asia and <st1:place w:st="on">Europe</st1:place>. The Department has a very strong research orientation. The department is involved with several research institutes, including the Center for Innovation Research that it recently co-founded.

     

    The Department is involved in three bachelor programs, three MSc programs, an MPhil program and a PhD-program. All programs except one of the bachelor programs are taught in English. Non-Dutch-speaking candidates will be asked to teach in English only. The standard working language of the Department is English.

    We aim to maximize the research time available to active faculty, and working conditions are otherwise comparable to major research universities in the United States and Europe. The standard teaching load is equivalent to two courses plus guidance of five master thesis projects. Compensation is competitive with comparable schools, and there is ample support for conferences and other research related expenses.

    The Department of Organization and Strategy of Tilburg University invites applications for multiple tenure track positions. These positions are to be filled at the rank of Assistant Professor. We are able to hire applicants starting in any month during 2010.

     

    The Department of Organization and Strategy of Tilburg University is part of the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration. It currently consists of 21 tenured or tenure track faculty members and 8 lecturers. Full time full professors of the Department include Jean-Francois Hennart, Xavier Martin, Niels Noorderhaven, Tal Simons and Bart Vos. Part time full professors include Geert Duysters, Bart Nooteboom and Hans Pennings (also of the <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:placename w:st="on">Wharton</st1:placename> <st1:placetype w:st="on">School</st1:placetype></st1:place>). The Department also employs a vibrant group of junior faculty.
