The Department of Business Administration at Lund University invites applications for two three-year research positions in a well-funded and very active research group. The posts have limited to no teaching load, but teaching may be added to the position (salary in addition to the stipend). There will be resources for travelling and other expenditures.

The resources are provided by Handelsbanken's Research Foundation and are intended for international recruitment, i.e. the candidates need to be non-Swedish and have their degrees from outside Sweden.

The successful candidates will be associated with the KLIO (Knowledge, Leadership, Identity in Organizations) research group at Lund University. The group is well-known for its critical and empirical engagement in identity, leadership, knowledge intensive work and organization theory - which continue to be important foci of research. Recently, the group has also received a large grant for research on branding, image and identity.

Work within the group is undertaken from interpretive and critical perspectives and often grounded in in-depth case studies. Senior members of the group (Mats Alvesson, Dan Kärreman, Stefan Sveningsson) have published well-known articles in journals such as Academy of Management Review, Journal of Management Studies, Human Relations, Organization Science, Organization and Organization Studies. The group also produces books with internationally leading publishers (Cambridge University Press, Oxford University Press, Routledge, Sage etc).

The group offers a socially rich and creative work climate with intensive international collaborations. Regular and frequent visitors include Andre Spicer (Warwick Business School), Karen Ashcraft (University of Utah), Peter Fleming (Queen Mary, University of London), Andrew Sturdy (Warwick Business School), Hugh Willmott (Cardiff Business School) and others.

Lund University is founded in 1666 and is seen as a leading European university. Lund is a very attractive university city in the Southern part of Sweden, one hour from Copenhagen.

The posts are broadly defined and the research fellows will have a considerable amount of freedom in defining his/her main topics. However, he/she is also expected to contribute to the group's research within the areas of Knowledge, Leadership and Organization or Branding, Image and Identity.

Applicants for the Senior Research Fellowship must hold a PhD, have a strong international profile with a track record of publications in high-level journals (associate professor level or above). Applications for the Post-doc Fellowship must have received his/her PhD within the last three years and show considerable research potential.
