Vacancy as fully salaried doctoral fellow in Leadership, innovation and
learning at the Faculty of education, University of Oslo, and affiliated
to the research group Research on workplace learning in the knolwedge
society (i.e. "Forskning om arbeidslivslæring i kunnskapssamfunnet" -
FALK). FALK consists of researchers from the Institute for educational
research, Institute for teacher development and school development, and
the research centre InterMedia. FALK researchers conduct analyses at
multiple levels where individual, collective and institutional learning
may be seen as inter-relationships and not as separate processes.
Theoretically we have a focus on socio-cultural learning theory and the
study of how “knowledge objects” (material or conceptual) in working life
emerge and are maintained. Currently we have a special emphasis on
understanding and developing the concept learning trajectories. Analyses
include variations as well as similarities in the usage of the concept
ranging both at the individual career level, as well as at professional,
corporate and sector levels.
The position is within the field Leadership, innovation and learning, with
the possibility of further delimitation within this field. It is for
example important with research on leadership of and within change
processes, in other words leadership in connection with transformation and
maintenance of collective knowledge practices. Such a project could be
included in FALK research regarding educational leadership, which is
outstanding in a Norwegian context as well as influential even
internationally. One trait is that there is a turn towards viewing
leadership as an activity, rather than as a given position. Alternatively
the candidate's project may be seen in relation to on-going research on
organizational learning and innovation focused on management- and learning
processes in connection with the making of innovations. The project’s
final form and supervisor affiliation will decide whether the fellow’s
workplace will be either the Institute for educational research or the
Institute for teacher development and school development.
The position is full time for four years, with 25% of the time reserved
for ordinary work at the Institute(s). Gross salary is depending on
pre-qualification level between 325 800 –367 800 Norwegian Crowns
(approximately 42870 – 48400 EUR) per year.
Closing date: 13 November
