TWO POST-DOCTORAL RESEARCHERS / VISITING ASSISTANT PROFESSORS IN ORGANIZATION AND MANAGEMENT (3 years)
Aalto University School of Business is looking to hire two junior academics interested in research in management and organization studies. The positions are within the Organizations and Management discipline in the Department of Management Studies at Aalto University School of Business (http://management.aalto.fi). The department comprises several very competitive groups of strategy, human resource management, organizational behavior, sustainability management and organization theory researchers who publish in leading management journals such as AMJ, AMR, ASQ, and SMJ, among others. Moreover, the department has a lively, international research community with numerous doctoral students and post-doctoral researchers from several countries.
The postdoctoral / visiting assistant professor positions are intended to allow the chosen researchers to pursue their research agenda and to develop personal competencies. We expect the candidates to conduct high quality research and aim to publish in the best international journals broadly in the area of Organization and Management. The positions are associated with a low teaching load; that is, one course per year. In addition, the positions include master's thesis supervision and an opportunity to be involved in doctoral training.
We look for scholars who are completing, or have completed within the past four years, their doctoral studies in a relevant field of study. The applicants should have demonstrated the ability to conduct research independently, to publish in high-quality scholarly journals and to teach competently. The positions require fluent skills in the English language. Additional language skills are a merit.
Post-doctoral researchers / visiting assistant professors are required to be in residence for the duration of the appointment. The dates of the employment relationship can be negotiated, starting at earliest in August 2017 and at latest in January 2018.
Salary
Aalto University follows the salary system of Finnish universities, but applicants may also provide their own salary requests. The position includes employee healthcare.
