TENURE TRACK POSITION IN STRATEGIC MANAGEMENT AND ORGANIZATION
The University of Alberta School of Business invites applications for a tenure-track position in the field of innovation and entrepreneurship (position is subject to budget approval). Rank will depend upon qualifications and experience. For an associate/full professor appointment, we require a high quality publication record in top tier journals accompanied by excellence in teaching. Success in obtaining research grants and scholarly activities will also be considered. Responsibilities include teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels, conducting and publishing research in top tier journals, supervising graduate students, and service to the School's academic activities. The School of Business has an energetic PhD program and the successful candidate will be expected to play an active role in its continuing success and development. Proficiency in English is required.
We are especially interested in finding someone who can take a leadership role in our Innovation and Entrepreneurship MBA specialization. This specialization addresses a range of skills and issues in innovation and entrepreneurship broadly, including those related to family business and technology commercialization. The position will also support research and outreach in the University of Alberta's Centre for Entrepreneurship and Family Enterprise and Technology Commercialization Centre. Both Centres are research focused, but also aim to engage practitioners and policy audiences in ways that enhance the educational experience of our students and the visibility of our school in the wider community.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and is competitive with other business schools.
Appointments are normally effective July 1, 2011 although January 1, 2012 would be considered.
