The University of Oxford's Saïd Business School seeks an outstanding candidate for the position of Associate Professor of Organisation Studies. This is a full-time, permanent (tenure-track) faculty position based at Park End Street, Oxford. The post will be held in association with a tutorial fellowship at St Edmund Hall based on Queen's Lane, Oxford. Salary for the position starts from £45,066 p.a., however compensation is internationally competitive and commensurate with qualifications. A College housing allowance of £8,300 p.a. is available to those living outside of the College. The University of Oxford uses the title of Associate Professor for most of its senior academic appointments, (a pre-tenure Associate Professor at Oxford is equivalent to an Assistant Professor at other universities). In exceptional cases, where the candidate has previously established an academic standing at an appropriate level of distinction, the title of full professor may be awarded at the time of appointment. The School wishes to draw upon as wide a field of international organisation studies scholarship as possible, in order to attract a candidate of the highest calibre, aligned with the School's commitment to excellence in business education, teaching and research. The successful candidate will be expected to engage in original, world-class research in organisation studies, conduct teaching and contribute to the administration of the School and the governance of the College. Applicants must have, or be about to obtain by September 2017, a PhD in management (or similar area) with a track record of internationally excellent publications (or the potential to produce such publications) in top-ranked peer-reviewed academic journals, commensurate with the candidate's career stage. The ability and willingness to teach, supervise, and assess high-achieving and challenging students from diverse cultural backgrounds at undergraduate, graduate and executive level is essential. The successful applicant must be willing to work as part of a team and have excellent interpersonal and communication skills necessary for undertaking teaching and the pastoral care of students. Applications are to be made online.
