This Professional Development Workshop deploys a  creative and interactive design to foster learning and conversation  about how to teach relationship-focused courses and concepts in  organization behavior and organizational theory. We bring together 8  researcher-teachers who do work in the broad area of positive  relationships to share "teaching blasts" as a way to generate ideas and  insights about how to do impactful teaching in this content domain.  These blasts cover a variety of new and impactful teaching approaches,  both with regards to novel content and effective pedagogy. In addition,  we will provide the means for all attendees to share stories about  teaching relationship courses and concepts with the goal of creating a  generative resource that everyone can use after the PDW to continue  learning in this increasingly critical domain of management and  organizational scholarship. The PDW will be highly interactive. Please join us for a novel and generative session together on this exciting topic.

The PDW is designed to catalyze and inspire new ways  of teaching about the relational side of organizations to students of  all types in business schools. People attending this PDW will be exposed  to multiple examples of highly impactful ways of teaching about  relationships in work organizations as part of core courses (in  organization behavior, human resource management or leadership) or as  separate stand-alone electives. Pre-registration is encouraged for this event. Please contact janedut@umich.edu to register by August 04, 2016.
