HEC Paris - Assistant Professor Position in Organization and Management Theory
The Department of Management and Human Resources of HEC Paris, located in
Jouy en Josas 20 kms southwest of Paris and ranked # 1 Business School in
Europe by the Financial Times during the past five years (2005, 2006, 2007,
2008, 2009), has a new opening in the area of organization and management
theory.
HEC Paris is strongly committed to support a productive research environment
and an excellent pedagogical experience for its students. Applicants are
judged by their potential to publish research in high-level international
journals. HEC offers substantial research support enabling scholars to
access or collect data, work internationally with research partners, attend
international conferences and workshops important to their area of research,
and substantially reduce teaching loads.

business community which offers its scholars access to international firms
and executives in Europe and throughout the world.
HEC Paris is emphasizing high quality teaching in various programs (MSc in
Management, MBA, Ph.D, Executive programs). Teaching is mostly done in
English but ability to also teach in French will be greatly appreciated.
The MSc in Management program has the best business students in France. The
MBA program is very international (85% non-French, 50 nationalities). The
Executive Education programs (open and customized programs) are highly
regarded by the corporate clients, mainly multinational firms.
We recruit a full time faculty at Assistant level in the field of HRM/OMT
and offer attractive package (work environment, wage and benefits).
Job Requirements:
Applicants should be in the final phase of their Ph D dissertation or
recently graduated in the fields of human resources, organization and
management theory.
Applicants are expected to publish in the best international academic
journals in the English language. This requires an active research &
publishing program, probably through partnerships with international
scholars. Applicants are expected to have at least one A-level paper in the
pipeline if they are just graduating. More experienced candidates should
have at least 2 A-level papers published within the past five years to
succeed at HEC.
As far as teaching is concerned, applicants are expected to have excellent
teaching abilities in various environments (undergraduate programs such as
MSc in Management, graduate programs such as MBA and PhD, and Executive
programs).
Language of instruction at HEC is English or French at the professor's
choice, depending upon various programs' requests but ability to teach in
French will be highly considered.
