The Southern Management Association (SMA) is a domestic affiliate of the Academy of Management. This year's SMA conference is going to be held in the Derby Town, the Horse Capital of the World – Lexington Kentucky from November 6 to 10. This email is an invite for faculty to encourage their interested and/or deserving students to apply to the pre-doctoral consortium to get a realistic preview of life during and after PhD in Management and related disciplines.
You know those students in your class. The high-performing ones with all of the questions that make you think "You've got what it takes. You'd be good at this job." Be sure to let them know about the call for this year's pre-doctoral consortium in Lexington KY during the SMA 2018 Conference. The deadline to apply is August 21st and acceptance is competitive. SMA is going to award $500 stipend (on a competitive basis to up to 20 participants) towards travel.
