For a research project funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG) with the title "A dynamic view on the topic of trust - development and consequences of trust in teams", the Chair for Strategy and Organization (Prof. Dr. Isabell M. Welpe) is looking for a
Post-Doctoral researcher in the field of
organization research/organizational behavior
(Salary Scale 13 TV-L, 100%)
The position is initially limited to 24 months and will be available at the earliest on November 1, 2017. Subject to the requirement of an appropriate suitability and interest in the topic, the opportunity for a habilitation at the TU Munich is given.
About the project
Within the scope of the research project on confidence in teams, funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG), the development of trust and performance indicators will be investigated more closely over time using data on virtual teams in an online strategy game. Hence, a special focus of the project is on the topic of team dynamics. Hereby, a comprehensive data set from a previous DFG project can be used, which provides the opportunity to follow and analyze the development of teams from their creation to their dissolution.

Ÿ Candidates with a strong research background in management/ organizational behavior and a solid training in quantitative (longitudinal) methods
Ÿ The postdoctoral researcher must have the ability to work independently, ideally in the area of team/ trust research with large data sets
Ÿ Required qualifications include a doctoral degree in management, computer science, sociology or I/O psychology or a related area and most desirably first peer-reviewed publications in international journals or conferences
Ÿ Mastery of statistical software (SPSS, AMOS, R or STATA) programs is essential
Ÿ Very good communication skills, above-average commitment and resilience as well as the ability to work independently and self-responsible in an interdisciplinary team
Ÿ Willingness to contribute and to take care of teaching and administrative tasks
Ÿ Willingness to acquire third-party funds
