    Postdoctoral researcher in Organization and Management

    POSTDOCTORAL RESEARCHER IN ORGANIZATION AND MANAGEMENT (2 years)

    Aalto University School of Business is looking for a postdoctoral researcher for 24 months with a background in organization theory. The position is connected to an externally funded project at Aalto University School of Business, Department of Management Studies.


    The Research Project and Requirements

    The post-doctoral researcher will be working on a project studying the non-profit organizations and social enterprises focusing on marginalized communities, including refugees. The postdoctoral researcher is expected to have significant input on both the empirical design and theoretical framing of the research. The intended focus of the research is on organizational practices, institutional conditions, and interpersonal interactions in countering marginalization and fostering integration.

    We look for scholars who are completing, or have completed within the past three years, their Ph.D. in a high quality program in a recognized university either in management or a related discipline (e.g. sociology, social psychology). Experience with qualitative research methods is required and knowledge of quantitative (mixed) methods is an advantage. Excellent English skills are a prerequisite.

    The researcher hired in the project is expected to spend some of the working time on his/her own ongoing research projects. The majority of the time is allocated for work on the project providing the funding. The main tasks include data collection, analysis, and the publication process. We will prefer candidates with the greatest potential for conducting high quality research and publishing in leading international journals.

    Salary

    The position includes employee healthcare and an annual salary of around 50 000 euros. Aalto University also provides health care and retirement benefits.
