Thanks to a recent allocation of funds to increase departmental faculty
size, the University of Northern Iowa has recently posted a second
management position announcement. Unfortunately, our good news came
after the Academy conference, so we were unable to interview candidates
then. I am therefore sending this announcement directly to some of the
AoM lists.

Assistant/Associate Professor of Management
Position
A tenure-track position as Assistant/Associate Professor of Management
is available for August 2008. Primary teaching responsibility: some
combination of total quality management, process improvement, operations
and project management, or supply chain management. We particularly
solicit applicants who seek a balance of teaching/research
responsibilities. The Department encourages applications from minority
persons, women, persons with disabilities, and veterans.
Qualifications
Minimum Required Qualifications
• Ph.D./D.B.A. in an appropriate management discipline from a nationally
recognized university. Minimum ABDs will be considered with evidence of
completion of degree by August 1, 2008.
• Record of excellence in teaching.
• Demonstrated ability to produce publishable research in
business-related journals.
• Demonstrated organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
• Significant business experience, preferably in a project or functional
management role.
Salary
Competitive based on qualifications.
