The Department of Technology Management and Innovation (TMI) at the New York University's (NYU) Tandon School of Engineering, the newest named academic school at NYU but the second oldest engineering school in the country, invites applications for a full time tenure-track assistant professor, with a start date of September 1, 2017. Rapidly growing along with New York City's booming tech sector recently, the TMI department aims to recruit a candidate with great enthusiasm in conducting high-quality academic research with practical implications this year. The ideal candidate will possess a PhD in Technology Management, Innovation and Entrepreneurship or a related field.

The department includes interdisciplinary tenure-track faculty who specialize in various aspects of technology management and innovation - strategic, behavioral, organizational and social. Specific streams of research include global innovation and R&D strategy; impacts of information technology on individuals, organizations and society; and the sociological aspects of technology and work.

Applicants should demonstrate an outstanding record of scholarly accomplishment, and the ability and potential to work collaboratively to advance their research. The successful candidate for this position is expected to pursue innovative research at the highest international level. Experience in writing funded proposals is a plus. Applicants should also demonstrate the ability to teach effectively in undergraduate, masters, executive, and PhD programs. Teaching experience, in particular in the areas of entrepreneurship, technology strategy and technology marketing, is welcome.

NYU Tandon School of Engineering is a comprehensive school of engineering, applied sciences, technology and research, and is rooted in a 158-year tradition of invention, innovation and entrepreneurship.
