The Department of Technology Management and Innovation (TMI) at the NYU School of Engineering invites applications for a full time Tenure track assistant professor, with a start date of September 1, 2016. The ideal candidate will possess a PhD in Technology Management or a related field and an outstanding record of scholarly accomplishment, and strong ties to the innovation scene in the City.
The TMI department supports research and teaching in the emerging knowledge-intensive and technology-demanding business environment that characterizes almost all sectors of the today and tomorrow's economy. The Department includes an interdisciplinary faculty who specialize in various aspects of technology and innovation?strategic, behavioral, organizational and social. Specific streams of research include global innovation and R&D strategy; impacts of information technology on individuals, organizations and society; and the sociological aspects of technology and work, among others.
NYU Polytechnic School of Engineering is a comprehensive school of engineering, applied sciences, technology and research, and is rooted in a 158-year tradition of invention, innovation and entrepreneurship. The institution, founded in 1854, is the nation's second-oldest private engineering school. The school is based in downtown Brooklyn and offers programs at sites throughout the region, around the globe and remotely through online learning. The School is connected strongly to NYU Abu Dhabi, NYU Shanghai, and other units of NYU.
