THE POSITIONS
The department of Strategy and Organization at emlyon business school, seeks candidates to fill two full-time positions at all ranks, starting in September, 2019.
We are seeking highly motivated candidates that demonstrate excellent research and teaching competences.
All applicants should have completed their Ph.D., or be close to completion, and may be specialized in any field of Organization and/or Strategy.
Responsibilities for this position include: conducting and publishing academic research and teaching, along with contributing to the service mission of the Department. Teaching opportunities are available at the undergraduate, masters, and executive level. The teaching load will be defined on a personal basis, and will depend on the publications and (possible) managerial responsibilities. Language of instruction at emlyon business school is both English and French. However, speaking French is not a requirement. We can provide support for non-French candidates in learning French if they so wish.
About the Strategy & Organization department
The department contributes to several programs at the (honors) bachelor's, master's, research master's levels and to the Ph.D. The department covers a variety of interests and backgrounds, and embraces a number of different research approaches and methods with a keen focus on quality in research and teaching. We focus on applied as well as fundamental research questions. Areas of research at the department include Organization Theory, Strategy, Entrepreneurship, Innovation, Corporate Governance, and Sustainability.
Members of the department of Strategy and Organization at emlyon business school have published in journals such as Academy of Management Journal, American Sociological Review, Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice, Journal of International Business Studies, Journal of Management, Journal of Management Studies, Organization Science, Organization Studies and Strategic Management Journal. Our faculty is actively involved in many scholarly associations (AOM, EGOS, SMS) and also serves in editorial board roles at leading journals.
