Virginia Tech's Pamplin College of Business seeks qualified applicants to fill a tenured faculty position in Organizational Behavior at the rank of Associate or Full Professor for the National Capital Region

The position is responsible for conducting research in Organizational Behavior and teaching management-related graduate courses at the MBA level. Candidates should have: (1) a Ph.D. in Management or a related field with a specialization in Organizational Behavior from an AACSB accredited school, (2) a strong program of scholarly Organizational Behavior research consistent with the rank for which the candidates applies, including requisite current publications in the top management journals (e.g., JAP, AMR, AMJ), and (3) instructional capabilities at the MBA and doctoral levels. A secondary teaching area is required – preferably in Ethics; however, Human Resources, Analytics, Technology Management, Research Methods, Entrepreneurship, or International Business/Management are also acceptable. Due to the location in the National Capital Region, the candidate should have the ability to work independently and effectively use technology to connect with colleagues and students. The Department of Management consists of 20 full-time faculty members with expertise in multiple areas of management and encourages intellectual discussions that cut across areas. We expect and support our faculty to actively engage in high quality research that is publishable in top outlets. Currently, the Pamplin College of Business rewards publication in an elite set of seven management journals with up to $20,000/year for two years.

The position is in Virginia Tech's National Capital Region (NCR). With facilities, faculty, graduate degrees, and research in the NCR since 1969, Virginia Tech has a long tradition of creating new knowledge and applying it to the critical problems facing the Washington D.C. area, the Commonwealth of Virginia, the nation, and the world. The NCR facility is in the highly competitive Northern Virginia regions where there are numerous other strong universities, and numerous companies and governmental organizations.

The candidate would be part of an evening program that is ranked as a top 20 programs by US News and World Report. The college enrolls about 163 evening MBA, and typical classes meet once a week (http://www.mba.vt.edu/evening/index.php). VT also offers an executive MBA and a professional MBA program.
