Virginia Tech's Pamplin College of Business seeks qualified applicants to fill a tenure-track faculty position in Organizational Behavior at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor.
The position is responsible for conducting research in Organizational Behavior and teaching management-related graduate courses at the MBA level. Candidates should have: (1) a Ph.D. in Management or a related field (or be in the final stages of completing a doctorate) with a specialization in OB from an AACSB accredited school, (2) a strong program of scholarly research consistent with the rank applied for, including recent publications in top management journals (e.g. Journal of Applied Psychology, Academy of Management Journal, Academy of Management Review) and (3) instructional capabilities at the undergraduate, MBA and doctoral levels. The candidate should have a demonstrated commitment to excellence in research and teaching OB.
The Department of Management consists of 21 full-time faculty members with expertise in multiple areas of management and encourages intellectual discussions that cut across areas. We expect and support our faculty to actively engage in high quality research that is publishable in top outlets. Currently, the Pamplin College of Business rewards publication in a set of seven elite management journals with up to $20,000/year for two years.
